I am continually reminded just how remarkable this community is, that I live in. I've lived in a variety of settings, each with its own assortment of cultures, personalities, backgrounds, and individual quirks. And there's always the one (or two) souls that you interact with just even once and they seem to leave you encouraged, inspired and often filled with a quiet sense of joy. These are the people that encourages and challenges me all at the same time, to be the best person I could possibly be. They live life with a passionate conviction and a formidable tenderness. They are leaders that serve with genuine humility. Their flaws are not buried in thick pretense and they don't mind that others can easily follow their raw, steadfast journey in living out Jesus.
And here I've found not just one or two of these extraordinary people, but rather, quite a few!
So today I choose to notice and give thanks for those beautiful souls I get to rub shoulders with everyday, that emulate their Maker and breathes joy, hope, and life into those around them.
